How to protect your private tax data

Since March 5, 2019, the IRS has been urging that "you should protect your personal and financial data from criminals. Thieves use your data to file bogus tax returns and commit crimes while impersonating you.

Follow these steps to protect yourself and your data."

Greetings Tax Payers of America! Make sure to stay out of scammers radars and protect yourselves. All IRS-related scam emails should be forwarded to phishing@irs.gov. All IRS impersonation telephone calls should be reported to www.tigta.gov.
